The Challenge

Firefly needed separate internal and external-facing web platforms: one for staff to manage operations and customer support, and one for external partners — travel agents, bus and taxi operators, insurance providers, and merchant banks — to access booking data and reporting securely.

Our Solution

ME-Tech built the Firefly Intranet for staff on its internal web development platform with a content publishing workflow. Staff features include: Customer Support System, Document Management System, Voyage Reports, Offline Booking, Group Bookings, and Credit Card Refund processing.

The companion Extranet for partners integrates with Navitaire New Skies via web services and provides: Agent self-service user creation and management, Secure PNR verification, Passenger manifests for bus and taxi operators, Credit card checking, Custom reporting for charter customers, and Custom reporting for insurance providers.

Results

Delivered in six months, both platforms centralised Firefly's internal and partner operations. The Navitaire integration meant staff and partners always had live booking data, reducing manual back-and-forth between teams.
